Every day matters. Regular attendance is very important to the academic progress of students. There is a direct relation between a student's daily school attendance and academic performance, work habits, and graduation. In the case your child does miss school, Monroe County Schools now has a convenient online form for submitting attendance excuses. The QR code on the calendar magnet sent home will direct you to the page https://www.boe.monroe.k12.wv.us/forms for turning these in to your child's school. You will need to enter your child's full WVEIS lunch number in order to submit the excuse. If you aren't sure of what that number is, please contact the school, and they can provide it for you.
If your child is entering preK/Kindergarten: ensure your child has the immunizations required, a well child within the last 12 months and dental exam within the last 12 months. If you're not sure, you can verify with the nursing staff or their health portal. We will see you next week!
