Parents of Mountain View students. We will be releasing early at Mountain View today due to the power outage. The buses will depart at Mountain View at 9:30am.

Parents of Mountain View students, there is a widespread power outage in the area. If the power is not restored or we do not have a restoration time by 8:45 we will need to bus kids home. We will send another message out once this is confirmed with a bus departure time.

Monroe County Schools will have a NTID day for Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Students will complete snow packet #5 and employees only report on a 2-hour delay. Any student who needs assistance with their assignments may contact their teacher at school after 10:30 am.

Attention Parents of Homeschool Students in grades 3-8 and 11: It is that time of year to begin thinking about end-of-year testing. Assessments for homeschool students are required in grades 3, 5, 8, & 11. Monroe County Schools offers testing in the following grade levels: 3-8, & 11. There are different assessment options that are available for you to choose for your child/children. They are as follows: 1. Standardized Test given by a certified person/organization 2. Portfolio evaluated by a certified teacher 3. WVGSA State Test/SAT School Day (11th grade) - given to Monroe County Schools Students If you choose the WVGSA/SAT School Day for the end of year assessment for your child/children, then please complete the link at the bottom to register. We must receive it no later than Friday, December 13, 2024. If you choose the WVGSA/SAT option, then your child/children's name(s) will be given to the school that they would be attending if they were enrolled in the public-school system. You will need to contact the Principal/Administrator of that school, and they will give you the testing dates for your child/children. Your child/children will report to that location on their scheduled test dates and complete the WVGSA/SAT along with the other students in the school.
