We are pleased to inform you should be able to see your child’s 2025 West Virginia General Summative Assessment results online within 24 hours after completing the ELA, math, or science tests. Your child’s school will provide information on how to access these scores as students begin testing. Please look for a letter to come home on the following dates:

Mountain View Elementary/Middle School is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner to honor local Veterans on April 11, 2025. In correlation with this dinner, they will also host a "Paws for Patriots" event with animals from the Monroe County Animal League and the Greenbrier County Animal Shelter. Pets will be on site, pampered and available for all to enjoy. Pets will also be looking for their forever home if that opportunity presents itself. Come out and enjoy the evening with us!

Please consider helping Mountain View with their food drive for pets to support those pets who are in need. You can read the attach notice for detailed information. This drive will be held Monday, March 24 through Friday, April 4. Thank you in advance for your generosity.


This year's Annual Project Graduation "Hoopfest" is April 11th-13th. There will be brackets available for 3rd grade students and up, as well as adult teams. NOTICE OF VACANCY ON BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Monroe County Board of Education is currently seeking a permanent resident of Monroe County residing in the Western District to fill the recently vacated seat of Sabrina Stutts to be held until June 30, 2026.
Letters of interest must be received on or before 3:00 pm on March 28, 2025. Those letters shall be sent by mail to Board President Candace Sabol, Monroe County Schools, PO Box 330, Union, WV 24983 or by email candace.sabol@k12.wv.us
Eligibility requirements for county board members can be found in WV Code 18-5-1a.

The Monroe County Board of Education will have a Special Meeting Wednesday, March 20, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
Agenda items will include Action/Discussion related to the appointment and/or the process of filling the unexpired term of the vacant Board member seat in accordance with WV Code 18-5-2.
